Convocation of EMBA 2014:High Achievers, Big Dreams
Graduation ceremonies signify both endings and beginnings - the ending of the formal classroom sessions and projects, and the beginning of a lifelong adventure in product leadership. And so it was with the class of 2014.
At the convocation on November 3, 2016 held by CMR University, students of the 2014 batch were awarded to the EMBA degree. The distinguished guests who graced the ceremony with their presence included Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. Kasthurirangan, Satish Dhawan Chair of Engineering Eminence, INAE and Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi as the Chief Guest at the ceremony; Mr. Basavaraj Rayareddy, the Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of Karnataka as the President; and Mr. K.C. Ramamurthy, IPS, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Chairman, CMR Group of Institutions the Guest of Honour.
The happy students and their proud families, faculty, alumni and staff of IPL and the CMR Group of Institutions attended the ceremony, cheering and applauding the graduands as they accepted their degree certificates from Mr. Basavaraj Rayareddy.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Rayareddy emphasized the importance of fusing Education and Ethics, and grafting them into the main courses of learning. In his Convocation address Dr. Kasthurirangan commended CMR University for its flexible curriculum of study that encourages creativity and cross-disciplinary learning establishing a new benchmark in quality and excellence.
It was a moment to be cherished - a milestone in the personal and professional lives of high achieving professionals who have made the effort to go back to school and upskill themselves: a surefire path to career acceleration.
