“Being a great Product Leader” – Sanjeev Kumar, Advisor – Stealth Mode Startups

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar is responsible for leading Informatica’s India R&D Labs (a.k.a. “iLabs”) as Vice President and Managing Director. In this role Sanjeev is responsible for formulating the vision and strategy for iLabs, to bring about qualitative and quantitative improvements. Sanjeev is a member of the Product Leadership Team that defines and implements product and brand strategy. Sanjeev has built a deep management and technical bench by recruiting many second-line managers, senior architects and principal engineers. He has pushed for organizational focus on product management, usability engineering and technical leadership. Prior to Informatica, Sanjeev was head of BEA System’s India R&D Center in Bangalore and the General Manager for WebLogic Integration product (WLI). Prior to his move to India, Sanjeev was based in US for over nineteen years that included a variety of engineering and product management roles at Oracle in Server Technologies (database and application server divisions), Object Design and Versant Object Technology. Sanjeev has a master’ degree from Rutgers University and a bachelors’ degree from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, both in Computer Science.
